At projectFLY, our desktop client/application tracks your flight status via. a connection to your simulator. This is required for us to obtain the data in order to display your flight on our website/application. This data is associated with your user account, and can be viewed by all projectFLY users if your profile is set to public visibility. Your full name is passed to VATSIM when you ‘pre-file’ a flightplan through our dispatcher service. This is so we can automatically populate the full name field to allow you to seamlessly file a flight plan. Your booking/flight data will also be passed to populate the flight information fields. If you wish for this not to occur, do not select the ‘pre-file with VATSIM’ option in the dispatcher.
Your phone number, country and e-mail address are passed to Authy when you setup two-factor authentication. This allows Authy to automatically link an existing Authy account to projectFLY, and to provide two-factor authentication functionality when logging into projectFLY. If you do not wish for this to occur, do not setup two-factor authentication.
Your full name is passed to SimBrief when you dispatch a flightplan using SimBrief. This is so your name will appear on the generated briefing. If you do not wish for this to occur, do not dispatch a flight using SimBrief.
